Im never surprised how false information once passed from to one then another suddenly people believe it, for example the prudent Gordon brown and the labour party …no …sorry... I mean recently I suggested to someone that Edinburgh city council were going to install under pave heating to deal with the iced pavements to save time and money , it took the guy a bit of time but I did have to tell him it wasn’t true even though thinking about it and the tram works going on this actually might happen.
Just like signs on the street and rules, some people just have to follow the rules even some that are not correct but believe are so due to apparently being told so by someone senior …lol
Just like my picture here it was taken in George street a few weeks ago more rules and telling us what to do, I was parked for well over one hour loading my van and not one warden came near me , the customer told me to use his permit space as pay and display where also coned off, but I know you cant do this and I don’t cross roads with goods, not wishing to have and accident crossing a busy street, maybe the traffic warden had a bit of common sense and gave me the benefit of the doubt and didnt come along and feed me total crap I would naively believe and pass false info onto others.
Anyway what’s the moral of the story ? don’t tell people things that are not even correct as this just causes confusing in you own mind as well as others and hearing it from someone senior Is just bull - Fact is fact is fact I live and work in Edinburgh

Ok, I'll concede defeat here Martin. It seems the "senior" traffic warden who told me three minutes was spouting complete pish. Do us all a favour then and post a copy of your notice up for us all to see. In the meantime, I'll see if I can get one of them out to do a wee video explanation of what we can and can't do.
