Strange people

Removals in Edinburgh
We live and work In Edinburgh (Unlike some)

Another day another load of strange emails and odd calls - one lady looking for a trip for her student daughter From Edinburgh to Belfast’’ not much’’ she said, and was a bit quick fire on the tongue but I think that’s the Irish for you….well anyway what I could make out is she couldn’t be bothered driving over and moving the student daughters goods to bring back to Ireland so was looking for a mover of sorts to do it for more or less same price a standard car on the ferry plus what her fuel would cost – asking me if I was competitive for pricing removals, I said yes… for a proper removals business, tax paying, insured and all that but not compared to a car driving over and picking someone up for the sake of family love – this seemed to throw her a bit , but I think I got my point across, suggested she’s no hope in hell getting it for same price from a man with a van in Edinburgh for same cost for her doing the job. Mind you there might be some desperadoes out there. I decided to give her some good advice and a top removals website she could visit and see if someone on there could help her – odd thing is that the 3rd trip to Ireland request I’ve had in 3 days – I’m a bit suspicious about that and it’s the 4th in 5 days 5th in 2 weeks.

Talking of timewasters.. another request for a Removal to London today, seemed a but too sharp on the request form, meaning most folk are as vague as hell and just fill out the form with basic minimal English but this one seemed to be a bit too chatty so I put it down to another spammer – gave price but wont hear back as it was probably a none job. Bristol next I suppose ….yawnnn

People eh!!

Estimates for removals

Removals in Edinburgh

I only ever go round to do estimates for Home removals if it sounds like a larger job or going to be a problem. Had one recently from someone looking to Move from Kinross to Antrim Northern Ireland meaning we would need to get the Removal van on the ferry from Cairn ryan to Belfast. Ive done it a few times and its quite nice trip if you can do the move to plan,  time it right for the Irish /belfast side return ferry - its good money.

The lady listed items that looked would like it would go into a 13 cubic meter van but I gave her an option for use of my 20 cube luton Removal van  telling her it would cost more but she seemd to think the luton Removal Van was more suited - Im always looking to save  customers doing a home removal some money if I can, Maybe thats my problem ...Im just too honest with people . Im not sure if she was a time-waster you get a lot of those, others checking other quotes -  she might get back in touch but if it a quote fisher I wont .
